BEST BioDiesel Cashton, LLC - Cashton, Wisconsin
BEST BioDiesel Cashton, LLC utilizes BEST BioDiesel technologies to develop an 8 million gallons per year B-100 biodiesel plant.
This plant will use a variety of agricultural oils and animal fats as its feedstocks. Besides the biodiesel plant, BEST BioDiesel Cashton
will be the engineering center for BEST's biodiesel technologies. The licensing agreement with BEST BioDiesel, Inc. has identified
BEST BioDiesel Cashton as the host for all biodiesel process technology upgrades at or below commercial licensing rates. This will
provide BEST BioDiesel Cashton with a continual competitive advantage as compared to existing production facilities. The technology
upgrades planned during the first twelve to twenty-four month period of operation include processing of lower cost feedstocks and
introduction of a 'winter blend' biodiesel.
BEST BioDiesel Cashton is a Turnkey Design Package Prepared for Implementation
Many business models are of great interest but require an amount of time to prepare which often precludes the
enterprise from moving forward without interruptions. BEST BioDiesel Cashton is a model which is truly a turn
key template ready to be constructed. Through BEST BioDiesel and its industrial partners, BEST BioDiesel
Cashton has prepared a package in which all permitting, site preparation, infrastructure, process engineering,
operational planning and marketing has been completed.
Efficiency and Environmentally Conscious Construction Philosophy
An industry leading unique waste water cleanup system designed by BEST BioDiesel, Inc. will be installed to remove the
highest amount possible of residual methanol, oil, soaps, glycerin and biodiesel before process water leaves the site.
The discharge rate is a mere .012 gallons of water per gallon of biodiesel produced, compared to other leading technologies
which boast 'world class' discharge rates of three to ten times this amount. In addition to the actual water flow, the
biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) or the amount of 'treatment' required to decompose organic compounds in a waste
water stream is critical to environmental responsibility. The BEST BioDiesel system not only reduces water volume
effluent but the process related BOD effluent has been virtually eliminated making the technology applicable in rural
settings where waste water treatment facilities are typically not available.
Every aspect of the BEST BioDiesel Cashton facility design considered the environmental impact to the site and surrounding
community. A range of decisions including construction materials, waste water treatment and air emissions were considered
with environmental impact as top priority.
BEST BioDiesel, Cashton is a sustainable model promoting local economic development
The construction of the BEST BioDiesel, Cashton plant has helped the economic growth of the town and will generate approximately
15 new jobs to the Cashton area. This development offers energy independence to the community and can act as a footprint to grow
other rural communities.
With the current development of the clean energy biodiesel plant in the Cashton Greens Energy Park underway, the town of Cashton
hopes to attract other green industries and position themselves as leaders in bioenergy.
Organic Valley is nearing development completion
on a new national distribution center in the Cashton Greens Energy Park. BEST BioDiesel Cashton will provide biodiesel fuel for
Organic Valley's distribution trucks.
BEST BioDiesel Cashton offers an opportunity for investors interested in 'doing well while doing good' for the environment
and local economy. The advent of global warming is challenging our environment and as such, locally, we are in need of a
sustainable industry for future generations. Biodiesel production and consumption becomes a solution which has promise of
satisfying both. The Cashton plant will create a fuel which can be a direct replacement for diesel fuel and is virtually sulfur
free, all the while creating high-quality jobs for the local economy.
